A Window into the Wild

Rabbit in window

Students at Fremont Middle School in Fremont, Nebraska were surprised by an interesting view when they entered their social studies classroom.  A wild rabbit had created a burrow in the snow right next to the window.

Oh wow that is so cool! In “The Private Life of the Rabbit,” Lockley writes about an artificial burrow he created like this, with one wall of glass behind which is a viewing room; but here we have a natural, real-world example! Awesome.

cute! I brought my rabbits outside and 1 of them loved the snow so much! I bet she could have dug herself a little burrow if she was not harnessed.
