Participating veterinary practices will hold free rabbit check-ups during RAW to help educate and promote good general health (including vaccinations, husbandry, diet, etc) and in support, some of the largest retailers and suppliers of rabbit food will be providing valuable feeding knowledge and information, along with a great range of deals and offers to pet owners.

This year’s RAW is bigger and better than previously celebrated:  In association with Burgess Pet Care, Pet Plan Insurance, Intervet, Company of Animals, RWAF, Wood Green Animal Shelters and the PDSA, rabbit welfare can be promoted on a larger scale and reach a wider audience of rabbit owners.

Harrison uses instruments to apply an impulse to a joint to restore fluidity to its movement. Each session costs 50 dollars and it generally takes three to five treatments for results to show.

Among Harrison’s clients are rabbits from the San Diego House Rabbit Society. He treats spondylosis, head tilt, and various gastrointestinal issues. He compares the problems of large rabbits to those of dogs, including hip and spine issues.

Students at Fremont Middle School in Fremont, Nebraska were surprised by an interesting view when they entered their social studies classroom.  A wild rabbit had created a burrow in the snow right next to the window.

PetSmart donated supplies needed for the event and volunteers from the sanctuary helped out as well.

Among the animals that came out for photos were an antler sporting turtle and a baby St. Bernard.

About 500 dollars was raised for the Great Lakes Rabbit Sanctuary.

Athletic Fields at the University of Victoria have been damaged by about 150 feral rabbits, causing a potential hazard for student athletes. As a result university officials have decided to round up the rabbits and have them sterilized and relocated.

The school hired a wildlife damage-control company to remove the rabbits to an animal sanctuary.

The plan is to create rabbit free zones around the school and reduce the rabbit population to a manageable level.

“To Thine Own Self Be True” is the title of Park Ad-jong’s new solo show in South Korea. The show features sculptures of rabbits and eggs.

In an interview with the Korean Times, Park describes her choice of rabbits as a subject,

When people talk about bunnies, they think of rebirth. Bunnies make a lot of babies, so it’s about new beginnings. For me, bunnies represent new life. And this is the same for me, it’s about starting over and rebirth.

The sculptures came out of a rough time for Park, who had legal problems and trust issues with coworkers.

The exhibit runs through December 31 at the Art Link Gallery in Seoul.

She was feeling a little more secure, a little more capable of thinking ahead to more than just the next morning.
