The Cheezburger Network has launched a new seasonal site devoted to photos of um… interesting… Easter bunnies.  You know what I’m talking about- we’ve all seen them at the local malls. Even though actual bunnies are quite cute, there are (and have always been) a ton of creepy/scary-looking Easter bunny costumes out there…

The House Rabbit Society of Missouri has recently taken into their care a rabbit named Easter. He was found by a man in his backyard and was seriously injured. Unfortunately Easter has needed major surgery, including the amputation of a back leg. According to the HRS of Missouri, Easter has a strong will to survive and sweet personality.

The surgery is quite expensive and the HRS of Missouri is seeking donations to help defray the cost.

1. Rabbits are not disposable, low-maintenance pets
2. With proper care, rabbits can live around 15 years
3. There are many homeless rabbits in need of forever homes, so it is better to adopt a rabbit rather than buy one.

Found Animals Foundation, Inc. has partnered with rescues in the Los Angeles area to help adopt out the overwhelming number of homeless rabbits by offering a LIVE streaming BunnyCam showing many of the adoptable rabbits in the area.

Easter is just around the corner, and hopefully many of you are aware of the Make Mine Chocolate campaign which advocates giving chocolate bunnies instead of real bunnies as gifts. To extend upon that theme, here is a list of other Easter Bunny confections you may enjoy!

This carrot cake recipe idea is from Betty Crocker. From reading the reviews, it seems fairly easy to make. Some people who didn’t like coconut skipped the coconut “fur” and just left it frosted.
