A note had been stuffed in the gate dated December 25. It read: “I’m not wanted any more, please look after me.” This tale has a happy ending however. Andrea Bisacre, the sister of one of the scout leaders, fell in love with the rabbit, adopted her, and named her Alice.

You can grow their food in a garden, and then you can throw the recycled paper litter and droppings into a compost pile to fertilize the garden. If you buy locally grown hay, you reduce the need for shipping food across the country, thereby cutting down on carbon emissions.

I also find that I hardly ever use my shredder anymore because Coco and Cosette tend to eat all my old receipts, etc. So that saves some electricity…

Sources of the problem include feeding bunnies sugary foods like toast with honey, carrots, and rich processed rabbit pellets.

On the plus side, the survey found an increasing number of pet rabbits living as house pets as opposed to living in an outdoor hutch.
